Melbourne Nocturnal Film Festival (MNFF) is an annual festival celebrating weird and wonderfully offbeat short films, created by Australian filmmakers.
In collaboration with Sleepless Footscray, MNFF 2025 presents 2 days of film screenings and events right in the heart of Footscray!

VENUE
All events take place at Bluestone Church Arts Space, located at 8A Hyde Street, Footscray. There is a licensed bar at the venue. The venue is wheelchair accessible.
TICKETS
Tickets for all screening sessions go on sale 14th April 2025 until sold out. Book early to avoid disappointment! All tickets are $15 +bf and are general admission.
AWARDS
All short films are in competition for Best Short Film and Audience Choice Award. Winners are announced after the final screening on May 7.
Still have questions? We're here to help! EVENT AND TICKET FAQs: Where is the venue? All MNFF screenings and events take place at Bluestone Church Arts Space in Footscray, located at 8A Hyde Street. Can I buy a festival pass? Tickets to all MNFF screening sessions and events are sold separately on FilmFreeway. Please purchase tickets for each MNFF session you wish to attend. Can I choose my seats for a screening? The screenings are all general admission and you cannot choose your seats in advance. However, if you have any special requirements, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate. My friend/relative's film is screening! Can I get a free ticket? We provide 2 free passes per film for the filmmakers to attend their screening. We try to keep our ticket costs as low as possible, so we cannot provide further discounts or free tickets. All screening tickets are $15 (+ booking fee) and are available to purchase on FilmFreeway from April 14th. Can I bring my kids to a screening? Films may feature horror, gore, sex, nudity, violence, strong language and other video nasties not suitable for children. All MNFF screenings are recommended 18+ events and viewer discretion is advised. Is this an accessible venue? The Bluestone Church Arts Space has a wheelchair accessible entrance and accessible bathrooms. If there's anything we can do to help assist you with access, please get in touch. Is there a bar? At screening sessions, drinks can be purchased from our licensed bar on premises. BYO is not permitted. Can I buy tickets on the door? If a screening is not sold out, tickets will be available to purchase on the door for $18 each. However, to avoid disappointment, we strongly recommend buying in advance. What is the best way to travel to and from the venue? Some street parking is available on surrounding streets for up to 4 hours. Please ensure you review the signs before parking. We recommend travelling by public transport. The venue is a 3 minute walk from the Hyde Street/Napier Street bus stop and a 10 minute walk from trams and trains at Footscray Station. What is the Audience Choice Award? After each screening, audiences have the opportunity to vote for their favourite film using the QR code provided on the screen. The film with the most votes will be added into the running for the Audience Choice Award. The winner of the Audience Choice award will be announced after the closing screening of the festival. How do I attend the awards ceremony? To attend the closing night awards ceremony, you must purchase a ticket to the final screening on May 7th. The awards ceremony will take place post-screening. If you are a filmmaker who has been nominated for an award, you will be contacted and invited by the MNFF team. What's on after? MNFF 2025 takes place as part of Sleepless Footscray. If you feel like kicking on, there are plenty of activations and events to choose from nearby throughout the festival. I can no longer make the session. Can I get a refund? Cancellations within 48 hours of the event will not be refunded.
